Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
January 3, 2008, 10:12 pm
Happy 2008 everyone! We hope that everyone had a great holiday season! Lindsay had a wonderful Christmas. She got so many nice, new things! Lindsay actually wrote her own "Santa" letter for the first time this year. She asked for cars from the movie "Cars", new markers, work boots so she can go to work with Dad and a playset from the Backyardigans. She got most of these things and so much more! She also got a "Smart Cycle" which is a stationary bike that you plug into the TV and play video games by pedaling or using a joystick. It is very cool and she really enjoys it! Lindsay discovered the sport of fishing this past summer with her favorite fishing buddy, Uncle Bob. She is ready for this summer, she got a new fishing pole, tackle box and bobbers from Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy. She has so much but appreciates it all!
We will be going back to Boston for the 3rd time later this month. Lindsay likes to fly although I (Kristy) have yet to get used to it! Lindsay is doing well. I wish that I could give you all more information but unfortunately I can't. We can not reveal anything that may or not be working with the drug trial until the trial is completed in 2 years.
Lindsay has learned to write her name, Mom & Dad all on her own! She has really been interested in writing and learning new words lately. We have been off of school for almost a month because Lindsay was sick (Bronchitis), I had surgery and the weather has closed the schools. Her first day back is Monday and she can't wait!
Lindsay has also been asked to be the flower girl in the upcoming wedding of my cousin, Rosie and her longtime boyfriend, Jim. We are so honored that they want Lindsay to be a part of their special day!
I have been having some trouble loading pictures to the site but I am trying to fix the problem. Please bear with me!
Thanks for all of your support.

Playing catch up!
October 27, 2007, 8:52 pm
Hi everyone! I am playing catch up! Sorry that it has been so long since I have written.
Our Miles for Miracles event went very well this year. We raised about $45,000.00!!!!! Thanks to everyone for their help and support on this! We want to make next year bigger and better so send me your suggestions. I will begin planning soon.
In June we went to Boston for the first of many trips. Lindsay started the drug trial and seems to be doing well. I am sorry that I can not give more details at this time. We hope to be able to give you all good news at the end of the trial in 2 years.
August was a fun month! Joe, Lindsay and I went to Myrtle Beach, S.C. This was made possible through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Lindsay's wish was to go Ripley's Aquarium. The aqaurium was nice but was only one day of our week in Myrtle Beach. Our hotel room looked right over the beach and the ocean! (Lindsay had never seen the ocean) There were water parks for kids and adults across the street. Lindsay loved the water park. They had kiddie water slides, a lazy river with tubes and lots of other fun things! There was also an amusement park down the street. Lindsay rode her first rides. She loved the ferris wheel and the tilt-a-whirl, we had to ride both if them twice. The tilt-a-whirl spins very fast in a circle for those that have never seen one. I have never heard Lindsay laugh like that, belly laughs for the entire ride!! It was the best sound ever! We played putt-putt and Lindsay got a hole in one! We saw some alligators and crocodiles. There was so many fun things to do. Lindsay did not want to come home!
Earlier this month we went back to Boston for our first follow up trip. We love to walk around the city and eat at our favorite Boston place "Corrib Pub" we even have a waitress there.
We are getting ready for Halloween. We are going to get pumpkins to carve tomorrow. Lindsay loves the pumpkin patch so I'm sure I'll have some good pics to post. Lindsay is going to be a zebra this year. I wanted her to be a chicken but she has a mind of her and I knew that I would not win that battle. So, zebra it is!!
Lindsay is very spunky lately! She has developed an intense love for fishing! Every time we take her she catches more fish than anyone else (and thinks that it's funny
. She still loves to be outside all the time. She goes to school one day a week now and loves that too!
I will try to write more frequently. Lindsay just keeps us so busy (which is just fine with me
Thank you all for caring for Lindsay. Please continue to pray for her!
Thanks again!

Texas Roadhouse
June 3, 2007, 12:54 am
Joe, Lindsay and I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Taylor today. When our waitress came to bring our boxes and check she only brought the box. We were confused. Apparently some very nice people recognized Lindsay from all of her recent publicity and decided that our dinner was on them. They did not wait for us to thank them and we don't know who they were. I am posting this in hopes that they will see it and know how much we appreciated it! Thank you from all of us!!!

Lindsay's day with the Michigan Senate!
May 11, 2007, 3:42 pm
Yesterday Lindsay, her parents and Grandma Rosie were honored to accept a resolution from the Michigan Senate. The resolution, No. 52, names the week of May 12-19, 2007 as Progeria Awareness Week in the state of Michigan and Lindsay as the Michigan Progeria Ambassador! We were invited to the Capitol Building in Lansing by (D) Senator Raymond Basham of District 8. We all were asked to join him and other Senators on the stage as the resolution was read in. Lindsay was such a ham! She was waving and blowing kisses. Joe (Dad) gave a brief speech thanking the Senate for their support. They also presented Lindsay with a Detroit Pistons basketball autographed by her favorite Piston, Rasheed Wallace!!! We were given a standing ovation, and lots of support. The whole event was absolutely amazing!
Please join us on Saturday, May 19th, 2007 at 10:30am for the 2nd Annual Miles for Miracles! We will have a copy of the Senate resolution on display. Thank you to everyone for their support! Pictures of Lindsay's day with the Senate coming soon! GO PISTONS!

Lindsay is 3 !!!
March 5, 2007, 3:17 pm
Our little Lindsay is getting so BIG!!! Lindsay turned 3 on February 24th. We had two different parties because Cody was here the week before her birthday. Lindsay loves Cody so much! It was great to have him here, if only for a few days. We had her second party on her birthday. Aunt Kathy made an awesome Uniqua (Backyardigans) birthday cake! Lindsay got spoiled rotten as usual! Everyone had a great time playing with all of her toys! She got lots of paint and stickers, a wooden train set, the Dora Magical Castle and all of the people and furniture that goes with it, a couple of movies, a cool caterpillar sprinkler, bubble blower, clothes, ball pit and a Backyardigans guitar. The Dora castle has a trap door that sends things from the 2nd floor and out by the front door. Somehow everything from the people to the dining room chairs find themselves lying next to the front door! Lindsay loves to get everyone involved when she plays. Grandpa reminded her of when Lindsay, Grandpa, Mama and Tabor (our Boston Terrier) were playing with the train set. She looked at Grandpa with this silly little face and said, "Grandpa, Tabor wasn't playnig with my trains! Tabor doesn't have any hands!". Pretty funny kid! She now can tell you how old she is, when her birthday is, what street she lives on, and in what city. She is getting smarter and more grown up everyday! It is amazing and a little scary to watch her grow and learn. She is still a huge Pistons fan. We were able to take her to a Pistons/Bulls game the day after her birthday. It was a great game (we won & beat Ben Wallace
) and Lindsay was a great little fan. She looked so cute in her little jersey cheering on her team with a hot dog in her hand! I hope to get new pictures up very soon but I need to learn how to do it first! Please be patient, there are some really great pictures to come! Thanks for reading and don't forget

NO MORE DIAPERS!!!
September 11, 2006, 12:00 pm
Lindsay is doing so well on the potty! She has now gone 4 days with nothing in her pull-ups! She has surprised us by even going on unfamiliar pottys! She wore "big girl" training pants (cloth) all day yesterday and didn't have any accidents. She has been waking up every morning for nearly 2 weeks with a dry diaper. We are very proud of her and she is very proud of herself!!

Stephanie Tye Memorial Make-A-Wish Golf Outing!
August 13, 2006, 7:38 pm
Yesterday we joined the family and friends to honor the memory of Stephanie Tye, who at 15 was taken by cancer. For the past 6 years they have done a golf outing in her name to raise money for kids like Stephanie who are to be granted a "Wish". After Lindsay was featured on FOX 2 News her father called me and offered to sponsor Lindsay's wish. They are an amazing bunch of people! Knowing that Lindsay LOVES the Pistons, he made some calls and got her an autographed picture and visor from RASHEED WALLACE!!! Another couple also brought her an official Rasheed jersey and pink basketball and yet another family donated their silent auction prize of 4 Detroit Tiger tickets! We met some really amazing people who truly made us feel welcome like family! Thank you all so much for showing our little Lindsay so much love and kindness. Although we don't yet know what Lindsay's wish will be, you all have done so much to ensure that it will be a wonderful experience. Thanks to each and every one of you who participated!

So far in 2006 we have received donations and corporate sponsors of over $1,500! I want to thank you all for your generous support and prayers.
