4th Annual Miles for Miracles! |

We are holding the 4th Annual Miles for Miracles on Saturday, May 16th, 2009. The Michigan Chapter of the Progeria Research Foundation is dedicated to raising much needed funds for a clinical trial. Researchers are calling this drug trial (for more information on the trial, see FTI Trial page) a treatment or possible cure for children with Progeria. This trial will span over 2 years (set to be completed this year!) and will cost about $2 million. Of this total we are still about $200,000.00 short. The walkers path is 2 miles and the runners do 3 miles. We also include a silent auction, chinese auction, refreshments, and live entertainment. This takes place at Fountain Park (behind the library) on Gibraltar Road in Flat Rock. We need support more now than ever! FOR THOSE OF WHO WHO HAVE TRIED THE EMAIL ABOVE, I APOLOGIZE! A chinese auction is used primarily for gift certificates, smaller items and other things that may not bring in a great amount of bids in the silent auction. We will be selling raffle tickets (Price to be determined) which will be placed into containers for all of the various chinese auction items. We are hoping to get some great items donated.
