3rd Annual Miles for Miracles!

 We are holding the 3rd Annual Miles for Miracles on Saturday, May 17th, 2008.

The Michigan Chapter of the Progeria Research Foundation is dedicated to raising much needed funds for a clinical trial.  Researchers are calling this drug trial (for more information on the trial, see FTI Trial page) a treatment or possible cure for children with Progeria.  This trial will span over 2 years and will cost about $2 million.  Of this total we are still about $600,000.00 short. 

The walkers path is 2 miles and the runners do 3 miles. We also include a silent auction, chinese auction, refreshments, and live entertainment. This takes place at Fountain Park (behind the new library) on Gibraltar Road in Flat Rock.

The entry fee is $15.00 unless you register before May 5th. All of the proceeds go to the Progeria Research Foundation. We are currently raising the funds for the first ever clinical drug trial. The total amount needed to fund the trial is $2 million, of that, we have raised $1.4 million.

A chinese auction is used primarily for gift certificates,

smaller items and other things that may not

bring in a great amount of bids in the silent auction.

We will be selling raffle tickets (Price to be determined)

which will be placed into containers for all of the various

chinese auction items.  We are hoping to get some

great items donated and that this works well.

This year we are offering pre-registration.  The pre-registration fee

is $12.00.  The day of the event registration will be $15.00.  This will

help us to have a more accurate count for the supplies and
